A Multicultural Journey in the Performing Arts!

Ricardo Santiago began his dance training as a scholarship student at Ballet Hispanico of New York. He has also received scholarships while attending SUNY Purchase, The Alvin Ailey School and Dance Theater Of Harlem. He has studied with Liliana Morales, Manolo Rivera, Luis Montero, La Tati, La China, El Toleo, Omayra Amaya, Edwin Aparicio and Nelida Tirado. In addition to touring throughout the United States, Ricardo has performed in Trinidad, Germany, Spain, Bolivia, Czech Republic, Poland & Japan. He has performed in Franco Zeffirelli's productions of Carmen and La Traviata at The Metropolitan Opera, Don Giovanni at Washington Opera, Ballet Hispanico of New York, Bailes Ferrer and has appeared numerous films and music videos including Alanis Morissette's Hand In My Pocket. Ricardo has Performed with Carmen Rubio, Sol y Sombra, Flamenco Latino, Alborada Spanish Dance, Carlota Santana Flamenco Vivo, M'oro Flamenco, Flamenco Ole, Danzas Españolas, Flamenco Sepharad, Bailes Ferrer, Edwin Aparicio's Selected Works and Tri-Cities Opera in Binghamton, NY where he also served as Choreographer for their Production of Carmen.

Cliff Matias is a Native American Taino/Kichwa performing artist, educator and world renowned photographer. Cliff is also a former Golden Glove champion, a nationally ranked professional triathlete and bicycle racer. He has served as a Cultural Director of the title 9 Native American Education program of NYC and was a cultural interpreter for the National Museum of the American Indian. Cliff was also a former co-host of WBAI Circle of Red Nations radio program. He currently serves as Director of Redhawk Native American Arts Council.  As a photojournalist his works have appeared in publications such as the NY Times magazine, Time Out NY, USA Today, Native Peoples and Indian Country Today. As a performing artist he has appeared live on Regis and Kelly, Good Day New York, Good Morning America and has toured throughout the world as a featured Hoop dancer and educator. As a photographer, his works have been on exhibition in top galleries and museums. 

Amalia Suryani  was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and graduated from the University of Indonesia, Jakarkta in 2002.  Her dance training includes Guruh Sukarno Putra, Liga Tari, Tapanuli Dance Workshop and Gumarang Sakti Contemporary Dance Workshop, all in Jakarta. She has performed throughout Indonesia as well as in Europe and the US. She established Saung Budaya Indonesian Group in 2005 in NYC. With the support of the Indonesian Consulate, Saung Budaya grew and is now a vital part of the Indonesian community in New York. Saung Buday brings Indonesia’s culture to us through dance and music. A variety of dances from all over the Indonesian archipelago are taught within the group and performed around NY, CT and NJ.

U Win Maung's style is an official branch of the Shwe Man Thabin Theatrical Troupe founded by its namesake, U Win Maung's father, in Burma. Shwe Man Tin Maung was awarded the title of Alingakyawswa, the highest title given to an artist by the government of Burma. U Win Maung studied Burmese dance from childhood, under the tutelage of his famous father, and has been a professional dancer for 25 years. Since leaving Burma in 1988, Mr. Maung has performed in all major cities in United States as well as giving master classes and lecture demonstrations in Indonesia, Singapore and New York. He is available for teaching, lecture demonstrations, master classes and performances (solo as well as with his troupe) through Lotus Music & Dance.
